Mirny is the largest wind energy project ever initiated in Kazakhstan and the first Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed in the country for a wind project of such scale.
Located in the Zhambyl region in Kazakhstan, the project aims to build a 1 GW onshore wind farm with a 600 MWh battery energy storage system. Mirny represents an investment of about $1.4 billion and it will provide low carbon electricity to 1 million people.
