With an installed capacity of 144 MW, this wind farm is located in the centre of Portugal, in a region named “Pinhal Interior”. It is NovEnergia's (100% TotalEnergies Renewables) biggest power plant, and one of the biggest wind farms in Portugal. Made of 63 turbines, the wind farm produces 330 GWh of low-carbon electricity every year, reducing CO2 emissions by 131,000 tons and coal importation by 128,000 tons per year. The Pinhal Interior wind farm holds a regional significance reflected notably in terms of creation of jobs and partnerships with municipalities and local entities. It is also an instrument for sustainable regional development.
