Located in the Taiwan Strait, Yunlin offshore wind farm is the largest in Taiwan with 640 MW (80 turbines of 8 MW) power capacity. In November 2021, the first turbine was commissioned and successfully connected to the grid. In 2024, 8 of the 80 wind turbines have been installed and final step constructions continue to achieve commercial operation.
The Yunlin project will produce 2.4 TWh of renewables electricity per year generating enough clean energy to power the needs of 605,000 households.
