TotalEnergies built its research center in Nanterre, near Paris; the solar power market was riding 40% growth.

TED teamed up with EDF to supply solar-powered lighting and drinking water in 15,000 homes in Morocco and South Africa.

TED, which was supplying solar electricity to over 100,000 homes in Asia, Africa and Latin America, was renamed Tenesol (Total Énergie Solaire).

SunPower, which builds the highest-efficiency modules on the market, joined forces with TotalEnergies to establish a new world leader in the solar industry.

Indirect participation of 23% of the TotalEnergies group in EREN RE through an investment of $237.5M for the development, construction, financing and operation of international solar, wind and hybrid projects.
